At the DIA 49th Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts during the last week of June, CROS NT paid tribute to the host city by helping to raise $1,615 USD for One Fund Boston through 5K running events and selling t-shirts. CROS NT held two 5K runs around the Charles River Esplanade where DIA attendees donated $20 to participate. During the show, CROS NT sold t-shirts at its booth with 100 percent of the proceeds going to One Fund Boston.
One Fund Boston is a fund set up by the city of Boston to support victims of the Boston Marathon bombings on 15th of April 2013. To date, the fund has collected over $64 million USD from individuals, corporations and organizations worldwide.
Paolo Morelli, CEO of CROS NT, said, “I was very keen to get involved in this project, a number of my people were involved in the event which raised money for what is an important charity. I ask all of my companies to get involved in community projects, and it was very appropriate for CROS NT to get involved in the One Fund while visiting Boston”.
