CROS NT Partners with Wings for Life for 2017 Corporate Social Responsibility Project

Wings for Life Corporate Social Responsibility31 January 2017 (Verona, Italy and London, United Kingdom) – CROS NT is pleased to announce it has adopted the Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation as its partner charity for 2017.

CROS NT implemented a Corporate Social Responsibility department last year as part of its “CROS in the Community” initiative to support charitable causes in communities in sectors and countries where it operates.

Wings for Life supports cutting-edge international research for finding a cure for spinal cord injury. The organization focuses on international research, clinical trials, scientific communication and prevention. Wings for Life has become synonymous with its World Run held annually in May coordinating a worldwide event in multiple cities across the world at the same time to raise funds and awareness for spinal cord injuries and research.

In 2016, CROS NT supported Wings for Life with a clinical trial in spinal cord research with Head of Statistical Consultancy, Thomas Zwingers, providing statistical analysis and Chairman, Paolo Morelli, consulting on overall study and budget management.

Andrew MacGarvey, CEO of CROS NT, said, “CROS NT is extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish through our corporate social responsibility efforts over the past few years, our commitment to scientific research causes, and the passion demonstrated by our employees worldwide. We are excited to work with Wings for Life where we can collaborate to make an impact worldwide and in our professional area of expertise which is clinical research”.

“We are incredibly excited to be working with CROS NT on our global partnership,” said Hannah Bostock, Senior Partnerships Manager at Wings for Life UK. “It is an exciting time in spinal cord research with many global research projects taking place seeing some really life changing progress. Spinal cord injury can affect anyone, of any age and can change life in an instant. Wings for Life is committed to finding a cure for this devastating injury and we are so proud to have CROS NT supporting our cause in many ways”.

The Wings for Life World Run is taking place on Sunday, 7th of May in 24 locations around the world.
