Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA (11 July 2014) – This week, CROS NT completed a donation to the Make-A-Wish® International Foundation, fulfilling its mission of contributing $3 USD for every badge scanned or business card collected at the DIA 50th Annual Meeting in San Diego. The DIA Annual Meeting took place June 15-18th and is one of North America’s premier conferences for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medica device industries.
CROS NT took this opportunity to raise funds for an important cause. The Make-A-Wish® Foundation “grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition”, and according to Make-A-Wish®, there is a wish granted, on average, every 38 seconds. CROS NT aims to contribute to the communities in sectors and countries in which it operates. The mission of the Make-A-Wish® Foundation, operating internationally as well as in the healthcare sector by catering to children with life-threatening illnesses, touched CROS NT and its executives.
“CROS NT realizes the effect that a business can have on its surrounding community and the sector in which it operates. We can use opportunities like the DIA Annual Meeting, which brings together thousands of industry professionals, to bring attention to a great cause. Most of us know someone greatly affected by an illness, and in the clinical trials industry we work towards finding solutions to life-threatening diseases, and therefore to be able to contribute to Make-A-Wish is something that motivates our company, both personally and professionally,” says CROS NT CEO, Andrew MacGarvey.
