CROS NT Raises Funds at MedTec Europe and London Marathon for WCRF

WCRFI-Logo-Artwork_positive_webMaidenhead, UK (05 May 2015) – Over the past two weeks, CROS NT raised funds for its 2015 sponsored charity, the World Cancer Research Fund, through various events.

During the MedTec Europe conference, 21-23 April in Stuttgart, Germany, CROS NT raised funds by donating three euros for every business card collected or badge scanned at its booth during the event. MedTec is Europe’s premier medical device conference that brings together industry professionals in the development and manufacturing of medical technology devices, and CROS NT exhibited as a CRO providing clinical data solutions to companies developing medical devices through clinical studies.

Throughout the year, CROS NT employees are making an individual effort to raise funds for WCRF through running events. CROS NT CEO, Andrew MacGarvey, participated in the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon on 26 April raising funds and awareness for WCRF.

Fellow CROS NT colleague, Business Development and Marketing Associate, Mary Wieder, also competed to raise funds for WCRF participating in the Red Bull Wings for Life World Run on 3 May in Verona, Italy.

CROS NT’s support for WCRF is part of a company-wide initiative to contribute to industries and countries in which it operates. The World Cancer Research Fund focuses on preventative cancer solutions by exploring the link between diet, weight, physical activity and cancer.

“In January we made a commitment to supporting the World Cancer Research Fund through both company and individual efforts. In just the first few months, I am proud to say that CROS NT is honoring its commitment and made its first donation of the year for a great organization supporting important research in preventative cancer,” said CEO, Andrew MacGarvey.

CROS NT is exhibiting at the Outsourcing in Clinical Trials conference in Dusseldorf on 19-20 May and is again raising funds for WCRF. This month the WCRF is launching the “I Can…” campaign which aims to fill the gap between what people know about lifestyle and cancer and what they can do about it through facts, tips, recipes and ideas from years of research from the organization.
